About Gareth

Gareth lives in make-believe worlds somewhere in the dark spaces between fantasy and science fiction. There he converses with imaginary friends and survives on a diet of tea, the finest curries available to humanity, and the occasional slice of Battenberg.

With over thirty years of experience writing for Roleplaying games through almost every genre that interests him, Gareth finally bit the bullet and decided to finish a full novel starting in late 2017.

From all his favourite settings which include fantasy, sci-fi, pirates and samurai, he eventually settled on his favourite – Steampunk.

His first Steampunk novel, Fogbound, will be published later this year when it has been polished and refined by legions of brass automata who are busy editing as we speak.

Fogbound: A Victorian steampunk adventure in the aftermath of a failed alien invasion, as detailed in HG Wells’ War of the Worlds. Set in an alternate London in 1899, the public tries to avoid the deadly Red Fog that taints anything it touches, as well as surviving a totalitarian regime of enforced curfews and the mysterious disappearances of those arrested by the Black Guard.

ArkZeroNine: A vision of a dystopian future many years after a cataclysmic event has destroyed the world we know. The survivors unknowingly live their entire lives within the confines of a massive Arcology and have regressed to a feudal state with all but a handful understanding the true dangers of their world.

Tabletop Roleplaying Game:
If the two novels weren’t enough to be completing, he is also working on a tabletop roleplaying game based on the Fogbound setting which he is hoping to have ready for release this year shortly after the novel. So it’s a busy time and if you happen to be a budding artists who think their fantastic artwork could be exactly what is required in the RPG, then please get in touch.

So explore the website and check out the Books and the Games sections for more specific info and I really hope you like what I am creating.
